The World Cup starts in two days with both the hosts India and Bangladesh taking on each other in what could be said as the perfect opening match.

There are a hosts of performances which have been planned by ICC for the opening ceremony. Its a day/night match and would start at 02.00 pm India time. This warm up match will not be available for the Indian audience to watch it live on any tv channel. Ony India’s match are being shown live on Star Cricket.

Pakistan will have an upper hand in this fixture against Bangladesh, but an upper hand does not necessarily means a victory. Bangladesh skipper Shakib al Hasan has already predicted that it would be very easy for Bangladesh to reach the quarters. So there is no lack of confidence in the Bangladeshi side, they mean business in this World Cup.

Bangladesh have already Pakistan in a World Cup quite comprehensively, so Pakistan will not take their opposition lightly in this warm up match. This warm up fixture sees England take on Pakistan on 18 Feb 11, just one day before the ICC World Cup starts. The match will take place at Fatullah in Bangladesh. It starts at 09.00 IST. Both England and Pakistan are not favored by the bookies to win the World Cup, but they sure as hell swing a surprise any time they want.

Nobody likes to take a team such as Pakistan lightly and England will know better to not make any such mistake. Pakistani batsmen are generally very good players of spin bowling. So it would be almost perfect for England to test their spin bowling options against the best. Graeme Swann and Michael Yardy will spearhead the spin bowling department for England.

Pakistan already had to replace Sohail Tanvir with Junaid Khan because of injury, at least they have got their captain sorted out now. Shahid Afridi will lead the Pakistani side in the World Cup. Pakistan do have good all rounders in their squad with the capatin and Abdur Razzaq being their main all rounders. And Mohammed Hafeez is also a decent bowler too. His off spinners can also come handy in this match.
