IPL - Andhra Police says no to matches till elections

The Andhra Pradesh Police has created fresh trouble for Lalit Modi, the IPL chief. Saying that it will not be able to provide security for the cricketers till the 23rd, when the final phase of election in Andhra gets over. Elections are scheduled to be held in this South Indian state in two phases - on 16th April and 23rd April. A final decision on this is likely to be taken by the Andhra Pradesh government. There has been no reaction yet from the IPL.

This should however not affected the two IPL matches scheduled to be held in Vizag (Vishakapatnam) as the dates for both the matches there are after the 23rd. The IPL is scheduled to start on the 1oth.
